A soft, warm light brown — the easiest neutral in the range and the one to reach for when you want the scarf to recede rather than announce itself.
Malmal is muslin — cotton woven at exceptionally fine counts, and for centuries the most sought-after cloth in the world. Ours is hand-spun and handwoven in the khadi tradition, which leaves the weave slightly open and irregular. That is what lets air move through the fabric rather than trapping heat against your scalp and neck.
Cotton holds around 8.5% of its own weight in moisture, so sweat is drawn into the fibre and released to the air instead of sitting on your skin. Coloured with azo-free dyes, with no synthetic softeners or finishes — the softness comes from the yarn itself, which means it deepens with every wash rather than washing out.
