A clean white — the hardest colour to get right in handwoven cotton, and the one that shows the weave most clearly when you hold it to light.
Handwoven cotton, spun and woven by hand on a khadi loom. Because the weaver sets the tension by feel rather than by machine, the weave stays slightly open — which is precisely what lets air pass through the cloth instead of sealing heat against your skin.
Cotton absorbs around 8.5% of its own weight in moisture, drawing sweat off the skin and releasing it to the air. Slightly more textured and more robust than our malmal, which gives it grip — it holds its place through a long day. Coloured with azo-free dyes, no synthetic finishes.
