A coat in khadi silk — natural silk blended with hand-spun khadi yarn and woven slowly on a traditional loom. The rarest fabric we work with, and the most structural.
Because it is hand-spun and hand-woven, every length carries subtle variation. That irregularity is the mark of authenticity, and it is also what keeps the cloth breathable where machine-made silk would be dense and airless.
The silk gives a soft, fluid drape; the khadi weave gives the coat structure, so it holds its shape without feeling heavy. The fabric catches light quietly rather than shining. Light enough for long wear in warm climates, and cut to move from everyday into occasion without changing register.
